Very convinient dictionary, concise, easy to retreive entries, sound module gives the precise prononciation. Great application. As a non native German speaking person, I hope to get in the next release the form of German verbs.

too many words missing. i did not find "nuke" in this dictionnary. and so many other words. disappointed
Unbelivable the fact that it does not have the conjugation forms of German verbs. Disappointed!
Can you add a swipe feature... So I can swipe from one word to the next?
Reading the description it would appear you can display conjugation tables easily. You can but only for English words. Forget about using this for studying German. It is a rip off.
It is a totally unhelpful dictionary. It doesnt have anything about grammar in German. Dont waste your money on none of Langescheid appstore dictionaries. And Userinterface is not easy to use. It could have been much better...
Would be so much easier if it showed you the plural Form. Would also be much better if it just recognized German or English Words as you Type like other aps. The anagram function does not seem useful. The Leo ap is much quicker and free. Wish I found it first.
It works, lists a lot of vocabulary and helps me a lot when travelling around my family birth country Germany. What is really great: Listen to native sounds. All in all: Thumbs up!
Do not buy if trying to learn German. The translations and information to German are not strong - lack of plural German nouns - lack of conjugated German verbs!
No German plural nouns - seriously!? No verb conjugation is also annoying. I bought this to replace my pocket dictionary; it doesnt.
I think it is good.
I was expecting a lot more functionality from this app based on the rather steep price I paid for it. Ive used this app to look up words and numerous times have ended up going to the web (which is free) to find what I need. For example, I just tried to look up the word "hielten." This app did not recognize it at all. I went to Safari and found three web sites that told me that "hielten" is the first and third person plural preterite and subjunctive of the verb "halten." I regret purchasing this app.
This item was offered on sale for $19.95 prior to May 1, which I was happy to pay,and ordered on April 28. However when the billing was posted, and charged to my account the full amount was chaged. Perhaps someone will contact me to correct this error. Gary Koch
Not significantly more useful than many lower cost apps. Agree with previous reviewers the lack of plural and conjugations seems like a basic oversight.
No German verb conjugation. Not even the preterite or the perfect. Word formation? Who needs that in German. Definitions are very limited. Very poor examples. Too expensive for what this app does. It should be free!
Flash card feature greatly appreciated. Like being able to use when abroad and not connected to phone/Internet. Translations useful. Highly recommended.
I was disappointed that unlike a paper dictionary, this version does NOT show the plural forms of nouns. This is important on German and is shown in any other dictionary.
This edition does not include plural forms for nouns. Note that their more expensive editions do. They have this information, theyve just deliberately hobbled their cheaper offerings, perhaps hoping youll shell out another $50+ once you learn enough German to realize that a dictionary without plural forms is pretty useless. This is a shabby way to treat your customers.
New iOS7-like icon, but the app design is still the same? Come on you can do better for such an expensive app! Otherwise good app, more stars when updated.
Ive recently purchased Langenscheidts Standard German - English dictionary app for iOS. It’s a decent collection of over 70,000 word entries and definitions, but I have the following suggestions for improving the app: 1. Include plural spellings and genitive endings for all German nouns. 2. Include verb conjugation tables for all German verbs. For some reason, the English verb conjugation tables are available, but the tables for the German verbs are not. 3. Make it possible for the user to save multiple, custom flash card stacks, so that one may have a stack focusing prepositions, a stack focusing on a particular set of verbs, another stack focusing on a set of nouns, etc. Currently, there is just one configurable flash card stack. 4. Include pre-loaded flash card stacks for typical areas of study (e.g., accusative prepositions, or dative prepositions). 5. Bring the interface into alignment with the new look and feel of iOS 7.
